PNW Cryptid Series

The Pacific Northwest has a very unique history with cryptids. It may have something to do with the vast areas of protected and secluded forest, or the wild and uninhabited mountain peaks that cover our region.

Conspiracies abound, and cryptid hunting is a popular past time and topic of discussion among mossbacks of the PNW. I find myself drawn in by the rumors and stories of the mysterious creatures, and find it interesting that it may be a case of the fun is in the chase. Sometimes when you learn the truth of a thing, it loses it’s shine, and suddenly all the possibility of imagination is lost in the harsh light of reality.

I think interesting parallels can be drawn between the thrill of the hunt for Bigfoot, and the never-ending search for a god and the meaning of life. Is the thrill in the hunt? What happens when we finally have our answer? Is the search the true meaning we’re looking for?
